Mission Statement
Hello there!
At Making Montessori Mine, we offer virtual Montessori educational consulting services for individual families or small groups of students learning together in a co-op style setting. Jen and Julia are two professionally trained Montessorians with over 20 years of teaching experience. Our goal is to work with you and your child, children or group of children to craft an individualized educational framework to support the students' learning. Along with the framework, we can provide Montessori materials as needed to facilitate the students' learning and practice. We are also available via video conference to teach Montessori lessons or reinforce previously learned lessons and concepts.

WHAT WE OFFER
Virtual Student Lessons
We are trained Montessori teachers in both lower-elementary and upper-elementary. We can teach elementary students at any level within the elementary scope. We are trained in every content area and present lessons and content in the Montessori lesson sequence. We will work virtually with students and give one-on-one instruction using Montessori materials and lesson presentations.
Virtual Student Assessment
We can lead a student through a series of brief assessment activities across the curriculum to quickly and easily assess the student’s current level of instruction based on their individual strengths and challenges. These assessments usually take about 30-45 minutes, depending on what is being assessed. After the assessment is complete, a separate consultation meeting is held with the assessor and the adult to discuss the results of the assessment. These assessments are helpful in determining a student’s needs and serves as a guide when we begin discussing an individualized learning program plan for the student.
Parent Consulting
We will act as a personal resource for parents as they work to best support their child’s learning. We can provide materials, organizational tools, lesson demonstrations, planning sessions, mini-courses, and various other on-going support programs and activities help parents help their children learn and succeed.
