Sheesh! It has been a LONG time since I did a blog post! I could give excuses for my lack of posting, but I won’t. Ultimately, the excuses don’t matter. What is done is done. There is no use in going back and feeling some type of way about it. What does matter is that I am deciding right now to show up and be present here in this incredible space that I created from nothing and have built into something meaningful for myself, my clients, my audience, and my future as a woman entrepreneur.
Throughout my journey, Making Montessori Mine has evolved so much! It started as a simple blog during the pandemic to try and help parents use Montessori methods and practices to remotely help their children learn. Since then, I have added products, services, courses, workshops, toolkits, and so much more! My goal has never changed. I want the work I do in my company to be collaborative, supportive, helpful, goal-aligned, individualized, celebratory, fun, and easy for everyone.
Those of you who know me personally know that I am not a social media fan. I don’t use Facebook or AI to communicate. I do have LinkedIn and Instagram, and I have used those. Mostly, I have a presence there because it is the best way I know how to reach a wider audience to share my talents and skills with people across the world. I want the things I put out into the world to be authentic to me, regardless of what “the algorithm” says I should be doing. If someone finds my content, relates to it, and engages with me from an organic desire to connect and share space and time, THAT is what I want.
As I put that authentic content out into the world, my “people” will find me. I know they are out there. I have faith that we will connect and collaborate when the time is right for both of us. That may sound “woo-woo” to some. It won’t sound that way to the people it is meant to connect with. I am totally fine with that.
I am in the process of learning a new newsletter format system that my website builder turned me onto. My goal for this fall is to build a habit of regular posting on my limited social media, writing regular blog posts and newsletters, continuing to add relevant products/services/courses/workshops to my website, and just simply showing up as I am-imperfect and authentic to make a positive impact in my own world, my community, and the Montessori world at large. When I do that, the people who are meant to find me will find me. I look forward to finding out who those people are and how we can work together in a Montessori world to make it a better one.
