This toolkit contains one item relating to each of the following areas:
Curriculum-This material will help your student see where they are in the overall scope and sequence of lower-elementary lessons in the Language and Math curricular area.
Organization-A productive Montessori student must keep their workspace organized in order to minimize distractions and maximize productive work time during a work cycle. I have given you ideas on how to organize various aspects of the day to maximize productivity throughout the day.
Mastery: This material gives an overview of what could be included in a student’s Mastery Portfolio. Portfolios are an excellent way for students to track mastery of skills and concepts over the duration of their lower-elementary studies.
Time Management: Since Montessori students are asked to be the leaders of their own educational experience, they must be able to focus and use their time wisely when working during the school day. This tool will help students become aware of their on-task time to help them learn about how they are, or aren’t using their time wisely for productive work.
Parent Support: Parents are a key supporter of their children’s education. One way for parents to support Montessori students at home is by providing age-appropriate tasks for their children to participate in throughout the day.
